Registration

Registration is now open for the 2026 Instructional Technology Roundtable.

Please register by September 24. Each NWACC member institution may register up to two people (plus steering committee members). If space is available, on September 25 registration will open for additional participants. The final deadline for workshop registration is October 5.

Get Curious: Navigating Change Together

As we navigate continual shifts within higher education and instructional technology, this year’s Roundtable brings us together to explore how we can approach change using the lens of curiosity. 

Keynote Speaker

Scott Shigeoka – is an internationally recognized curiosity expert, TED speaker, and author of Seek: How Curiosity Can Transform Your Life and Change the World. Drawing on his research at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, Scott shares science-based practices that build meaningful human connections, strengthen work culture, and reduce anxiety through relational curiosity.

  • Wednesday, November 4th: 4:00 PM-7:30 PM
    • Dinner & welcome begins at 5:30
    • Keynote following dinner at 6:15 PM
  • Thursday, November 5th: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
    • Optional dinner out with colleagues starting at 5:30 PM
    • Optional post-dinner meetup at Deschutes at 7:00 PM
  • Friday, November 6th: 8:00 AM-11:30 PM

All sessions will be held in the Park Ballroom or adjacent spaces located on the Conference Level “C” with food service in the foyer.

Reservations and Lodging

If you request hotel accommodations on your registration form, a reservation will be made for you and you will receive a confirmation via email. The cost of your hotel room will be billed directly to NWACC for up to two nights (November 4 and 5).

If you have questions about your reservation or need to make a change, please contact us immediately at office@nwacc.org. Attendees will need to present a credit card at check-in to cover incidental costs.

Travel, Transportation, and Parking

Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. NWACC will reimburse travel expenses for all attendees. Reimbursement requests must be submitted by email to office@nwacc.org by November 24th. Requests must include a completed NWACC reimbursement form and itemized receipts (in PDF format).

The MAX light rail provides service from the airport and the Amtrak Station to the hotel. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket kiosk at each MAX stop (NWACC will reimburse you for the expense). The Green line stops half a block from the Courtyard, and the Red line stop is four blocks away. 

If you are driving to the workshop, you can use the hotel’s valet service. Please indicate on the registration form if you need parking. When parking, be sure to mention that you are with NWACC so it can be billed directly to NWACC.

Food Service

Meals and breaks will be provided at the hotel, except for group dinners out on the town on Thursday. Dietary restrictions should be noted on the registration form. Make sure to keep meal receipts so you can receive reimbursement from NWACC.
