Jackie Barretta has been VP and CIO at Willamette University since 2016. She has led the strategy and execution of initiatives to implement best of breed applications to support all administrative services, re-implement the student information system with substantially enhanced functionality, provide industry standard cybersecurity protections, and significantly upgrade technology infrastructure. She actively collaborates with faculty to develop strategies to increase the adoption of academic technology in the curriculum.
Jackie has over 30 years of senior and executive leadership, primarily in Fortune 500 companies and Higher Education. Previously, she served as the CIO of Con-way Inc., Interim CIO at Portland Community College, and Interim CIO at College of Marin.
Jackie has served on national advisory boards for Hewlett Packard, Teradata, and CXO Media’s CIO Executive Council. She also serves on the board of the Northwest Academic Computing Consortium.
