Francisco Chavez is the Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Technology Services at the University of Puget Sound. As CIO, Francisco oversees Technology Services and is tasked with providing visionary leadership for developing and advocating for technology strategy. Being a member of the Finance and Administration team, he plays a critical role in the execution of Puget Sound’s strategic plan. He also provides executive leadership in developing solutions, services, and infrastructure to promote the goals of the institution.
Francisco is a graduate of St. Mary’s College, holding both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the institution. A forward-thinking strategist and leader, Francisco implemented several key initiatives during his time at St. Mary’s College to improve the organization’s information technology infrastructure, ensure data security, and align technology solutions to the institution’s goals.
