Andreas Bohman has served as the University of Washington (UW) CIO and Vice President for Information Technology since March 2022. The Seattle-based UW serves about 50,000 students with 16 schools and colleges and two branch campuses. Bohman brings to this complex institution a unique leadership style shaped by experiences in large corporations, executive positions in public higher education, and service in the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence and Special Forces officer. He currently serves on the Washington State WaTech Technology Services Board Security Subcommittee. His inclusive, straightforward, and humorous leadership style is informed by the cultural values of his native Sweden. Andreas holds an MS in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont and an Executive MBA from Washington State University.
